Microsoft has released the date for mainstream end of support for Windows 7. Before you get worried that your Windows 7 computer will end up like XP, relax. The end of “Mainstream Support” on January 13th, 2015 marks the beginning of "Extended Support.” What this means is that while there will be no more additional features or upgrades released for Windows 7, security patches & security related hot fixes will continue until January 14th, 2020.
